Kickchain connects live World Cup 2026 betting markets to a Solana-based collectibles system. Every time you make a prediction, a sequence of on-chain events transforms your pick into a permanent NFT card. This page walks you through each stage of that process — from the moment odds appear on your screen to the moment leaderboard points are awarded after the final whistle.

Live Markets from TxODDS

The odds you see in Kickchain come from TxODDS TxLINE, a professional odds feed used across the sports betting industry. Odds are updated continuously throughout the lead-up to each match, reflecting real market movements as money comes in and conditions change. When you open a fixture in the Matches tab, you see the current live prices for all three available markets: Match Result (1X2), Over/Under 2.5 Goals, and Both Teams to Score. These odds are the same prices that power the rarity system — so it matters when you predict, not just what you predict. A market that starts at long odds can shorten dramatically as the match approaches, which means acting early on an underdog can lock in a rarer card than waiting until kick-off.

On-Chain Predictions

When you tap an outcome and confirm the transaction in your wallet, your prediction is written directly to Solana. The on-chain record captures:
  • The fixture you predicted
  • The market type (Match Result, Over/Under, or BTTS)
  • The specific outcome you chose
  • The odds at the exact moment you submitted
This record is permanent and public. No one — not Kickchain, not anyone else — can alter or delete it. Because it lives on a public blockchain, you have verifiable proof of your prediction: what you called, at what price, and at what time. One prediction per market per wallet. You can only hold one card per market per fixture. Once you’ve predicted a given market for a given match, that slot is taken — you can’t change your mind or predict the same market again. You can still predict the other two markets for the same fixture if you haven’t done so already.

Rarity Assignment

As soon as your prediction is recorded, the app assigns your card a rarity tier based on the odds you locked in. This happens automatically — there’s no manual intervention and nothing you can do to influence it after the fact. The rule is simple: the longer the odds, the rarer the card. Rarity is determined at the time of minting and is permanently embedded in your card’s on-chain metadata. A Common card stays Common; a Legendary card stays Legendary — regardless of how the odds move after you predict.
Because odds fluctuate up to kick-off, predicting an underdog early — before the market adjusts — can lock in better odds than waiting. If you believe in a long shot, timing your prediction can be the difference between an Epic and a Legendary card.

NFT Card Minting

After your prediction is recorded on-chain, a Metaplex Core NFT is minted to your wallet. This is a real, standard NFT asset — not a points balance or an in-app item — which means it belongs to your wallet address and is portable like any other NFT on Solana. Each card contains:
  • Match details — the fixture, the market type, your chosen outcome, and the odds you locked in
  • Rarity frame — a visual treatment matching your rarity tier (grey, blue, purple, or gold)
  • Foil treatment — Rare cards carry a foil streak; Epic and Legendary cards carry full holo foil
  • IPFS artwork and metadata — card art and structured metadata are pinned to IPFS, so the visual layer is also decentralised and persistent
Every card in your collection is unique to your wallet for that specific market and fixture. Completing all three market cards for a single fixture fills a per-match set, and collecting across all WC26 fixtures builds toward your full tournament album.
Kickchain currently runs on Solana devnet. All NFTs are minted on devnet and have no monetary value. The full ownership and provenance model is identical to what a mainnet deployment would look like.

Settlement and Scoring

Once a World Cup fixture ends and the result is confirmed, predictions for that match are settled on-chain. The settlement process checks each prediction against the actual outcome and marks it as a win or a loss. Winning predictions score rarity-weighted leaderboard points: Points accumulate across the tournament. Because rarer cards are worth more points, the leaderboard rewards both accuracy and boldness — calling upsets correctly is worth significantly more than always backing the favourite. You can track your point total and your position among all Kickchain users in the Leaders tab at any time.
